Rev. Felix Simmons was born and reared in Supply, North Carolina. He is the fifth child of the late George and Estelle [Bernard] Simmons. He graduated from West Brunswick High School and went on to join the US Army, where he served for 13 years. He retired from Eaton Corporation after 22 years and is the former owner of I Can Do It Lawncare, LLC.
Felix was ‘born again’ in 1983 and accepted his call into the ministry in 1984. He was ordained 1989 and called to pastor Calvary Gospel Church in Augsburg, Germany. He loves to talk about Jesus and enjoys proclaiming the Word of God any chance he gets.
His philosophy in life is “The life I touch for good will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows what far place my touch will be felt.” To this end: our lives should be spent making the world a better place for our children, our families, and the entire community.
He has been an active participant in the community. He is active in the "Get Out to Vote" campaigns, served as secretary and membership chair for the Fayetteville Area Coalition for Equality (FAYCE), worked with the Cumberland County Jail Ministries, and is actively involved in church and related activities.
Rev. Felix Simmons served as an associate minister with Redeemed Christian Church, and held the office of general secretary of Redeemed Christian Churches International, Inc.
He has been married to Alisha for 33 years, and they have one son, Joshua.
I will strive to preach and teach the entire gospel message enlisting the precepts, statutes and the commands in the Old and New Testament to a church desiring to grow and develop into a thriving institution, having a positive affect on the community.
Being a gospel preacher and teacher, I love to use demonstrations that help to make the message clear and drive home the concepts of righteousness. I believe my Baptist and Pentecostal backgrounds give me a unique blend and style to reach the young and old.
Big Macedonia, you and the community, are constantly in my prayers- for your health, well-being, and spiritual growth. May you be abundantly blessed!
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
